The Machine Operator is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the operation of a paper bag manufacturing machine. Key duties include machine setup, operation, changeovers, and troubleshooting equipment when necessary. The Machine Operator ensures that production quotas are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate paper bag manufacturing machines, ensuring all settings are correct for optimal production output.
- Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair any issues with equipment to minimize downtime and maximize production.
- Quality Control: Perform routine quality and system checks, and maintain production logs of daily output.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all established safety, health, and quality practices, and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Mechanical Maintenance: Use DIY mechanical and technical skills to maintain machines and ensure smooth operations.
- Support Functions: Collaborate with other operational teams to achieve company goals and meet production targets.
- Tool Use: Utilize and read a measuring tape and use handheld mechanical tools for equipment adjustments and maintenance.
- Lifting and Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily job functions.
