The ProAACtive SLP is seeking an experienced, California-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with AAC experience to join our growing specialty practice in Pleasant Hill, California.
This is a part-time position combining in-clinic services with opportunities for Non-Public School (NPS) school-based assessment, consultation, training, and therapy. It is an excellent fit for an SLP who is passionate about complex communication needs and wants meaningful work and collaboration with a team that truly understands AAC.

What You’ll Do
- Provide individualized speech-language and AAC therapy in our Pleasant Hill clinic
- Complete AAC assessments
- Provide school-based services, consultation, and staff training
- Support clients using a range of AAC systems and access methods
- Develop functional, strengths-based goals that reflect each client’s real-life communication needs
- Collaborate with families, school staff, service providers, and other members of the client’s care team
- Complete clear, timely, and clinically meaningful documentation
- Participate in team collaboration and ongoing professional learning
Who We’re Looking For
- 2 + yrs experience evaluating & treating individuals with ccomplex bodies, alternative access methods, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), and/or cerebral visual impairment (CVI)
- CA SLP license
- ASHA CCC - SLP
- Values neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, and family-centered care
- Communicates professionally and works well with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Is organized, dependable, proactive, and able to work independently
- Has reliable transportation and is comfortable traveling to local school sites

Position Details
- Part-time (10-25 hrs / week)
- W-2 position
- In-person services at our Pleasant Hill clinic
- Afternoon and after-school availability is especially valued
- Pay range: $55 – $90 per hour,based on experience
We also have Non-Public School caseloads available in Petaluma/Santa Rosa area.
The ProAACtive SLP is a specialized speech-language therapy practice serving children and young adults with complex communication needs. Our clinical areas include augmentative and alternative communication, childhood apraxia of speech, motor speech disorders, oral placement therapy, alternative access, caregiver coaching, and interdisciplinary consultation.
