Assistant Community Manager – West Palm Beach
Full-Time | Compensation: Competitive, DOE
We are a 100% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) community in West Palm Beach seeking an experienced Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in the daily operations of our tax credit property. This role requires a solid working knowledge of LIHTC compliance and the ability to manage both resident-facing responsibilities and behind-the-scenes administrative work with accuracy and discretion.
What You'll Do

Support the Community Manager in overseeing daily site operations, leasing, and resident relations

Process new applications, income/asset certifications, and third-party verifications in accordance with LIHTC (Section 42) program requirements

Prepare and maintain resident files, ensuring full compliance with tax credit documentation standards

Conduct annual recertifications and interim recertifications accurately and on schedule

Assist with lease administration, renewals, and lease violation/enforcement documentation

Support rent collection, delinquency tracking, and reporting

Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests, escalating as appropriate

Assist with move-in/move-out inspections and unit turn coordination

Help prepare for and support compliance audits (state agency and syndicator/investor reviews)

Step in for the Community Manager as needed in their absence
What We're Looking For

Required: Prior experience with LIHTC compliance, including income certification, recertification, and file documentation standards

Strong understanding of Fair Housing laws and affordable housing regulations

Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail

Comfortable managing sensitive resident information with professionalism and confidentiality

Strong communication and customer service skills

Experience with property management software (RealPage/LOFT experience a plus)

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment

Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), COS, or similar certification a plus

Position Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Two plus years of residential LIHTC management
