Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, food service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, catering, or culinary settings is preferred but not required. Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure proper storage of clean items
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing food service areas as needed
- Support food preparation tasks such as basic food handling and prep work when required
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a hygienic work environment
- Assist with light cleaning duties throughout the kitchen area to uphold cleanliness standards
- Support catering events or banquet setups by providing timely dishwashing and cleaning services
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service times
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to food handling regulations
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
