Overview

Duties
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, including schematics and system layouts.
- Perform mechanical analysis using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to validate designs under various load conditions.
- Create and review manufacturing drawings in accordance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and ASME codes & standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot mechanical failures or inefficiencies in existing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system design, integrating programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino, MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW for automation and control applications.
- Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance on CNC machining, drafting, and mechanical assembly.
- Utilize system simulation tools to optimize mechanical performance and ensure robust product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo for mechanical design and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, materials, and thermodynamics.
- Hands-on experience with FEA software and conducting structural or thermal analyses.
- Familiarity with GD&T standards, ASME codes & standards, and schematic creation.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Arduino, MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and other system design tools.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures using systematic troubleshooting methods.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly techniques.
