The Opportunity
Provides stock and die support for the Carton Department by ensuring the timely availability, organization, and movement of materials and dies necessary to maintain efficient production operations. Responsible for monitoring stock levels, staging materials for production, locating and distributing dies as needed, and coordinating with production personnel to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Builds die cassettes
- Washes pans and other press tools
- Empties trash
- Cycles waste gaylords
- Operates motorized lifts
- Supplies carton presses with board stock
- Maintains supplies for presses (i.e., rags, solvents, etc.)
- Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Performs other job duties as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
- Preferred high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Preferred six months’ work experience.
- Must be able to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must have ability to obtain Level 2 fork truck license, but doesn’t have to have a license already.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
