Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing while maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs to foster a collaborative relationship
- Help maintain accurate records of children's developmental milestones, attendance, and daily activities
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and health and safety protocols to ensure compliance and protect children's well-being
- Participate in ongoing training related to child development instruction, first aid, CPR, and special education needs
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric first aid preferred) to respond quickly in emergencies
- Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs using inclusive teaching strategies
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom environment
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and procedures for child safety concerns
- Compassionate attitude with excellent child supervision skills to foster a safe, supportive atmosphere for all children

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
