INSTITUTIONAL AIDE
Responsibilities: Perform routine housekeeping maintenance, repair equipment operated and maintained by the Boriken Neighborhood Health Center. Open and close the Center as per operation schedule, plan and schedule maintenance and repair work as may be requisitioned by the Administrator. Spot check conditions of the building, grounds and utility systems daily, and make whatever repairs necessary. Perform such maintenance functions as; plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting and electrical work. Assist in relocating equipment as directed. Provide transportation for patients, staff and for supplies as required. Maintain vans (oil, water, etc.) Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Facilities Director and/or the Executive Office.
Qualifications: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the job related duties, approved vocational or trade school training, High School Diploma or GED. Must have a current and clean New York State Driver’s License.
THIS IS A UNION POSITION WITH A TWO MONTHS PROBATION PERIOD AND UNION BENEFITS.
