Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered, cleaned, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of items used in our hotel environment, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder various items including linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for delicate fabrics or specific garments.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items for guest use.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry services or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques, including the ability to operate dry cleaning equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts.
