Position Overview:
The Team Member / Server at Chick Me Out is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing friendly, accurate, and efficient service. This role involves taking and fulfilling orders, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment, and supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house operations as needed. Team Members are expected to follow all food safety, sanitation, and labor guidelines per California regulations while upholding Chick Me Out’s service and hospitality standards.
Overview of Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service & Order Taking
- Greet every guest with warmth and enthusiasm.
- Take customer orders accurately and answer questions about the menu.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen to ensure timely and correct order preparation.
- Ensure all guest needs are met throughout their visit, including refills, condiments, and follow-up service.
- Provide recommendations and upsell items to enhance the guest experience.
- Resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly, involving the General Manager as needed.
- Dining Area Maintenance & Presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service area throughout the shift.
- Wipe down tables, restock napkins, utensils, and condiments, and remove trash as needed.
- Monitor guest areas to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and accessibility.
- Reset tables quickly to accommodate incoming guests during busy periods.
- Team Support & Communication
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist with light food prep, packaging to-go orders, and running food to tables as needed.
- Follow shift instructions from the General Manager or Shift Lead and help cover other stations when required.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and contribute positively to team culture and communication.
- Compliance & Safety Standards
- Follow all Los Angeles County Department of Public Health regulations for food handling and sanitation.
- Wear required uniforms, gloves, and adhere to proper hygiene standards.
- Ensure proper use of point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling guest payments and tips accurately.
- Comply with all applicable California labor laws, including clock-in/out procedures, break times, and overtime rules.
