Maintenance/Groundskeeper – Homecrest, a 94 unit mobile home park, is now hiring a Part-Time worker in Boise to perform light maintenance and groundskeeping throughout the property. Our residents own and maintain their homes, you will maintain all common areas and park utilities. Key Responsibilities – Our maintenance staff is a team of one! With the help and guidance of a supervisor, you will be responsible for keeping the property fully operational and looking its best.
- Responsible for keeping common grounds neat, clean, and attractive at all times (including but not limited to lawn and landscape mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, updating landscaping, removing litter)
- Troubleshoot and complete basic electrical and plumbing repairs in the park, while notifying supervisor when a licensed electrician or plumber is needed
- Perform a wide variety of minor maintenance and repairs as assigned (including but not limited to painting projects, janitorial services, light carpentry)
- Respond to all service requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance and service requests (received and completed)
- Maintain adequate inventory of parts and materials to handle most common repairs and situations
- Ensure park equipment and tools are in clean, secured, and appropriate working condition
- Recognize and report to supervisor any areas which could be improved or which may present a safety concern
- Assist with project management, enforcement of community policies (AKA rules and regulations), effectively liaise with contractors/vendors
- Represent Homecrest with professionalism towards current or prospective residents, co-workers, contractors, and vendors at all times
- Adhere to all company policies and safety precautions, complete all training as assigned
- Must take initiative to do miscellaneous tasks without prompting, working independently to meet the responsibilities of this position
- MUST RESPOND TO EMERGENCY SITUATIONS DURING AND AFTER HOURS (ON CALL)
Skills/Experience - Our perfect candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role
- Prior experience with basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry required
- Prior experience with mobile home park plumbing and electrical systems a plus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
- Ability to work well in both independently and in a team setting
- Physical ability to effectively accomplish diverse skilled work in the repair and maintenance of facilities
- Ability to walk, climb, stand, sit, and lift up to 100 lbs
- Basic computer literacy to complete online training or documents
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- An eye for detail

Personal Requirements
- Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
- Must submit to background check
- Ability to provide own truck and some tools helpful but not mandatory
