Our Doggie Beach Lounge is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and creative Dog Daycare Manager who is excited to help us continue to build a daycare experience that both dogs and their owners love.
This is more than a typical daycare position. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, loves spending the day with dogs, and is excited to help create something special.

Your primary responsibility will be supervising and caring for our daycare dogs throughout the day while maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging environment. Beyond that, we're looking for someone who wants to create an experience that keeps both our dogs and their owners excited to come back.
Doggie Beach Lounge proudly works alongside our sister company, La Jolla Grooming Company, allowing us to offer unique services like our Spa Day + Daycare packages. Additional hours and opportunities may also be available within the grooming salon/front desk
Duties
- Supervise and care for daycare dogs throughout the day, ensuring they are safe, happy, and well cared for.
- Monitor dog behavior and maintain a safe, positive play environment.
- Keep the daycare clean, organized, and running smoothly.
- Create and manage a monthly daycare calendar featuring themed days, special events, holidays, and other fun activities.
- Plan themed days such as Pup Cup Mondays, Doodle Tuesdays, birthday celebrations, holiday events, and other creative experiences. We encourage new ideas and want someone who is excited to make this role their own.
- Build relationships with local businesses, rescue organizations, and community groups by coordinating events, partnerships, and community involvement.
- Help with social media-worthy moments through fun events, seasonal decorations, photo opportunities, and memorable experiences for our daycare dogs.
- Educate clients about our daycare services, memberships, and Spa Day + Daycare packages while helping create a seamless experience between Doggie Beach Lounge and La Jolla Grooming Company.
- Build lasting relationships with clients and help grow our daycare through exceptional customer service and creative ideas.
- Work closely with management to continue improving and growing the daycare.
- Treat the daycare as if it were your own—take pride in creating a fun, welcoming, organized environment and continually look for ways to make it even better.
What We're Looking For:

- Someone who wants to help build and grow our daycare—not just supervise it.
- Creative, organized, dependable, and positive.
- Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Previous experience in dog daycare, boarding, veterinary medicine, grooming, or another animal care setting is preferred, but we're happy to train the right person with the right attitude and creativity

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
