This is more than a restaurant—it’s a multi-concept culinary show where Michelin-starred chefs, celebrated food brands, and creative innovators come together to craft unforgettable dining experiences. From charcoal grill and ramen to handrolls and grab-and-go bento, Bentoville offers a dynamic and interactive space for chefs and guests to take risks and find delight.
As a Prep Cook, you’ll create the foundation for every bite we serve. You’ll break down proteins, prep stocks, build sauces, and set the service team up to succeed. You’ll demonstrate consistent and efficient knife work, cleanliness and organization, and a desire to learn. Experience in Japanese and/or high-volume kitchens is a plus. This position will offer a vibrant environment to grow and showcase your talent. Skills and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are exceeded consistently
- Assist in menu planning and suggest improvements based on culinary trends and customer feedback
- Follow all food handling procedures and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Support catering events and special events with efficient preparation
- Maintain organized workstations, ensuring all kitchen equipment is clean, sanitized, and in good working order
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours, including assisting with presentation as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a food industry setting, preferably in fine dining or restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food handling
- Background in the dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
