Position:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance across multiple property locations. This position requires traveling between job sites using a company-provided work van. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance trades, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service to tenants and property managers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs at multiple property locations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently
- Complete work orders related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliance repair, and general maintenance
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed
- Ensure vacant units are prepared and move-in ready
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop, tools, and company vehicle
- Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and management staff
- Keep accurate records of completed work orders, materials used, and time spent at job sites
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist with property inspections and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience in property management, apartment maintenance, or related field preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
- Strong troubleshooting and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks across multiple properties
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
