Job Description Summary
Teach five (5) courses per regular semester that could include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/ outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met.
Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate various learning styles of students.
Successful experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.
Ability to teach and communicate with students of varied multicultural backgrounds.
Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or related field.
Three (3) years non-teaching related work experience in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
JD or LLB degree as appropriate to specific courses AND three (3) years non-teaching related work experience in the field.
Knowledge of a learning college and/or knowledge of learning communities.
Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas).
