Description:
Tioga School is seeking a qualified Kindergarten Teacher to provide high-quality instruction within an early childhood classroom setting. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering developmentally appropriate, standards-based instruction that supports the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth of young learners.
This position requires collaboration with grade-level teams, support staff, and families to ensure student success and promote a positive school experience for all students. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, demonstrate strong instructional practices, and maintain high expectations for student learning and development. All responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with district policies and state and federal requirements.
Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education endorsement required

Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned to grade-level standards

Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs

Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction and intervention

Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment

Support students’ social-emotional development and positive peer interactions

Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families

Participate in grade-level meetings, professional development, and school activities

Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with district and state requirements

Support the district’s educational philosophy, goals, and student achievement initiatives

Salary and Benefits:
Salary and benefits are based on the negotiated teacher contract for the 2026–2027 school year.
