Seeking a Part-Time Nanny / House Manager
About Us
We are a busy family in Virginia-Highland seeking a part-time nanny / house manager to support our three teenage children, ages 16, 15, and 14, and help keep our household running smoothly. Our two older children are in high school and require very little day-to-day supervision. Our youngest is in middle school and still benefits from support with organization, homework oversight, and follow-through on his responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who can provide a caring, reliable, and well-managed environment for our children while also helping with the day-to-day operations of the home. While this is certainly a job, we also view the right person as a trusted extension of our family — someone who is thoughtful, dependable, calm under pressure, and eager to be a positive influence in our children’s lives.
Position Overview
This role combines traditional after-school nanny responsibilities with broader household support. We need someone who can help manage afternoon and evening routines, transportation, snacks and simple dinners, school follow-through, laundry and organization, errands, and light household logistics. While the two older children are largely self-directed, the role does include more active support for our middle schooler in staying organized, keeping up with assignments, and following through on his other responsibilities.
The right candidate will be warm and personable, but also organized, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of recurring tasks without needing heavy day-to-day direction.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, roughly 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week.
There may be opportunities for additional hours during school breaks, summer, sick days, house / pet sitting, or on days when one or more children are home from school or camp. We do our best to communicate schedule changes and additional needs well in advance.
Projected start date would be Monday, August 3, 2026.
