We are looking for a dependable, energetic Shift Lead to help run day-to-day operations at a Jimmy John’s restaurant in Northwest Indianapolis.
Previous Jimmy John’s experience is strongly preferred, especially candidates who have worked as a PIC, Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, or other leadership role. Experience with a drive-thru location is a major plus.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can lead a team during busy shifts, and wants the opportunity to grow into Assistant Manager or General Manager responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise team members during assigned shifts
- Open and/or close the restaurant as scheduled
- Ensure fast, accurate, and friendly customer service
- Manage in-shop, pickup, delivery, and drive-thru operations
- Assign positions and keep the team productive during busy periods
- Maintain Jimmy John’s food quality, cleanliness, and service standards
- Prepare sandwiches and assist the team as needed
- Monitor labor and staffing during the shift
- Handle cash, register procedures, deposits, and shift paperwork accurately
- Assist with inventory, food preparation, and product ordering
- Train and coach new employees
- Handle customer concerns professionally
- Maintain food-safety and health-department standards
- Communicate operational issues to the General Manager
- Help maintain a positive, accountable, team-oriented work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Jimmy John’s experience strongly preferred
- Previous Shift Lead, PIC, Assistant Manager, or restaurant leadership experience
- Jimmy John’s certification is a plus
- Drive-thru experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable handling cash and supervising employees
- Ability to work independently when the General Manager is not present
- Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation
Compensation
