Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments using appropriate packaging materials, ensuring products are securely packed for transit.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move inventory safely.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately track inventory levels, pick orders, and update shipment records.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate stock levels through proper stocking, order picking, and order fulfillment procedures.
- Verify shipping documents, labels, and customs paperwork for international shipments when applicable.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting stock counts and reconciling discrepancies using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by managing inbound deliveries, inspecting goods for damage or errors, and documenting receipt details.
- Collaborate with the warehouse distribution team to optimize load & unload schedules for efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area to promote safety and operational effectiveness.
- Follow safety protocols when operating equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or related roles.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar ERP systems.
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely.
- Strong understanding of order picking & packing processes within e-commerce or distribution environments.
- Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately.
- Knowledge of packaging standards to ensure product safety during transit.
- Familiarity with inventory control practices including stocking and stock replenishment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping.
