About the Role:
We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Virginia for a flexible, part-time 1099 independent contractor position. This fully remote telehealth role requires at least 1 year of post-graduate PMHNP experience. Please note that this position operates under a collaborative practice model; a collaborating MD is required for non-autonomous practice.
Position Highlights:

Schedule: Part-time (Flexible hours)
Location: Fully Remote (Must be licensed to practice in Virginia)
Compensation: 50% to 60% of net revenues collected
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and telehealth mental health assessments.
Provide evidence-based medication management and psychotherapy.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient treatment plans.
Collaborate effectively with your Collaborating MD and in house clinical staff regarding patient care.
Maintain timely and accurate electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience practicing as a licensed PMHNP.
Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and PMHNP license in Virginia.
Current Board Certification as a PMHNP from either the ANCC or AANP.
Active DEA registration and Virginia controlled substance license.
Malpractice insurance coverage (or willingness to obtain it).
Preferred Qualifications
· 3+ years of PMHNP experience preferred
· Virginia autonomous practice designation strongly preferred
· Existing Medicaid and Medicare credentialing preferred
· Existing credentialing with commercial insurance plans preferred
· Outpatient psychiatry or private practice experience preferred
· Experience providing both medication management and formal psychotherapy preferred
· Experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, mood disorders, grief/loss, sleep disturbance, life stressors, and co-occurring substance use concerns
· Experience with treatment plans, measurable goals, short-term objectives, and therapy progress documentation
· Experience with telehealth-based psychotherapy
· DrChrono or similar EHR experience preferred
· Ability to work independently while maintaining appropriate communication with practice leadership and support staff
Schedule:
Flexible schedule within normal business hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Option to work Fridays if desired.
