Molecular Lab Supervisor
We’re looking for a Lab Supervisor to help with day-to-day operations for one of our client’s brand-new molecular testing laboratory!
We’re looking for a highly driven, motivated, and experienced Molecular Lab Supervisor to supervise, direct, and coordinate a medical testing lab. As an expert on process and compliance, you will be the go-to person in the lab to ensure results are produced at a high level. The successful candidate will have patience, empathy, time management, and professionalism to ensure the lab and the employees within are efficient and well-managed.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform PCR runs, analyze data, and prepare technical reports according to standard operating procedures
- Direct supervision of all laboratory staff, logistical processes, functions, and implementation of new policies and procedures
- Assist in the establishment and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems
- Track and manage sample volume in relation to available capacity
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Meet and exceed quality goals and efficiency metrics
- Participate in routine laboratory tasks
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field
- 1 year of experience with real time PCR and instruments in a high complexity lab
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and change with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage change, stand/walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
