Service Electrician (Journeyman-Level)
Pleasanton, CA | Full-time | Hourly + Commission

The opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Service Electrician operating at or near Journeyman level to join our growing team in Pleasanton. You'll run residential service calls independently from start to finish, diagnose electrical issues, recommend the right solutions, and deliver a five-star experience on every job.
If you're a strong troubleshooter who takes pride in your craft, enjoys solving problems, and has solid experience with residential panel replacements and service upgrades, we'd love to meet you.
What you'll do
- Run residential electrical service calls independently from diagnosis through completion
- Troubleshoot and repair wiring, outlets, switches, breakers, lighting, and electrical devices
- Install, replace, and upgrade residential main panels, subpanels, and service equipment
- Perform complete panel replacements, service upgrades, and meter-main installations in compliance with utility and local AHJ requirements
- Install EV chargers, dedicated circuits, whole-home surge protection, ceiling fans, lighting, and other residential electrical systems
- Perform electrical safety inspections and identify code violations
- Explain findings and repair options clearly and professionally to homeowners
- Complete all work in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and company standards
- Document work performed using company software
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and inventory
- Participate in ongoing technical and safety training
What you bring
- 5+ years of residential electrical experience
- Ability to independently diagnose and repair residential electrical systems
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Demonstrated experience with residential main panel replacements, service upgrades, and panel change-outs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team
Preferred but not required
- California Journeyman Electrician Certification
- Experience with meter-main combinations and utility service change-outs
- Experience with EV charger installations, generators, and whole-home surge protection
- Experience using mobile field service software
