American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a CV Surgery ICU Float Pool position in Rochester, MN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care ICU experience and at least 1 year of travel nursing experience.

CV Surgery ICU unit within a large hospital setting in Rochester, MN
-
Day/Night rotation shifts (0700–1930 and 1900–0730) as well as straight nights (1900–0730)

36 hours per week, 3x12-hour shifts
-
Every 3rd weekend required
-
Floating required as needed
-
Epic EMR (experience required)

13-week contract
-
Active MN RN license required — no pending licenses accepted

Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) required; must not expire within 3 months of start date

Current ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross) required

CCRN preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience required

CVS ICU experience preferred
-
At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required, or a minimum of 3 completed travel assignments
-
Graduated from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program (or equivalent RN experience as outlined by education requirements)

Experience with VADs, Impella, ECMO, and/or balloon pumps preferred

COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility

Date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Accountable for coordination of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care

Functions within a professional nursing practice model with responsibility for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of care for assigned patients

Provides leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts
-
Delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, and available resources
-
ECG exam required during orientation — must pass to continue the assignment
-
Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before starting a new assignment
