Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces regularly
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and ingredients
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are tidy for guests
- Handle food handling responsibilities in compliance with safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Aid in setting up banquet or catering events by preparing necessary dishware and utensils
- Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and recycling to keep the kitchen organized and eco-friendly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is key!
- Familiarity with basic cleaning practices and food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and fellow team members
- Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and sanitation guidelines is a plus
- Experience with banquet service or catering events is advantageous but not mandatory
