In this role, you will operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently and safely across various routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, tankers, and dump trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, or locally, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Navigate using GPS systems to follow optimized delivery routes while adjusting plans as needed for traffic or road conditions.
- Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
- Perform routine inspections of trucks before and after trips to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across diverse terrains.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently.
- Skilled in using GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries.
- Experience with logistics cargo handling, freight management, and load securing techniques.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety, responsibility, and adherence to all traffic laws.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
