Sunshine Learning Center is a leading full day early-childhood education program educating children from 6 weeks - 5 years -old. We provide high quality care and education, shaping our early learners while building strong ties with parents and communities. The Sunshine Learning Center has locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx.
We are seeking an ambitious Assistant Director to support our School Director in a dual role combining administrative leadership and hands-on school operations. This is a dynamic position for an educator with strong leadership skills who wants to make a real impact on children’s lives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise all daily operations
- Ensure the ongoing delivery of a developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Support enrollment processes
- Conduct formal and informal teacher observations
- Provide staff training
- Oversee student assessments
- Review teacher lesson plans
- Ensure the early education center achieves educational goals
- Maintain a regular and proactive method of communication with families
- Oversee marketing efforts to maintain full program enrollment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
Requirements:
- Experience in early childhood education
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of NYS licensing regulations
- Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skill
- MA in ECE
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Pay: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
License/Certification:
- NY State Teaching Certificate - Preferred
- MA in Early Childhood Education - Required
- BA/BS Degree in Early Childhood Education - Preferred
