Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restoration Crew Lead to oversee and coordinate emergency response and restoration projects for water, fire, mold, and flood damage. In this vital role, you will lead a team of technicians through all phases of restoration work, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Duties
- Lead and supervise restoration crews during emergency response efforts for water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, and flood restoration projects.
- Coordinate project tasks including cleaning, carpet cleaning, asbestos abatement, and use of power tools and hand tools to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct site assessments to determine scope of work using industry-standard estimating tools such as Xactimate.
- Ensure all team members follow safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection to maintain a safe work environment.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-call coverage and project transportation needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on project progress and address customer concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, safety compliance, and project timelines for each job site.
- Assist with training team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and restoration techniques to foster skill development.
Skills
- Proven experience in the restoration industry with knowledge of water damage restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, and flood recovery processes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively under pressure during emergency response situations.
- Familiarity with construction practices, hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in restoration projects.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and problem-solving.
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection, asbestos abatement procedures, and OSHA standards.
- Proficiency with Xactimate or similar estimating software for project documentation and invoicing.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning or debris removal in various environments.
- Flexibility to be on-call for emergency response coverage outside regular working hours as needed.
