Raleigh Medical Group. PA is seeking a Scheduler to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for many patients, the Scheduler plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, coordinating appointments, and ensuring accurate patient information is maintained.

- Answer incoming telephone calls promptly, professionally, and courteously
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments according to provider schedules and practice guidelines
- Return patient calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
- Enter and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately
- Verify insurance eligibility using approved verification systems
- Process patient requests received through the patient portal, website, and other communication channels
- Route new patient appointment requests to the appropriate provider through the electronic health record (EHR)
- Forward prescription refill requests to the appropriate clinical staff through the EHR
- Coordinate patient appointments affected by provider schedule changes
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and support staff to promote a patient-centered care experience
- Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, and customer service initiatives
- Follow Raleigh Medical Group policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of medical scheduling experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience using Athena EHR
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Previous medical scheduling experience
