Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in the specialty offices of Portland Neurosurgery and Portland Pain Medicine. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, providing both administrative and clinical support to ensure smooth operations. Your expertise will contribute to the overall patient experience, helping to create a welcoming and efficient atmosphere in our medical clinic.
What you’ll do
- Assist in patient intake by gathering medical histories and documenting vital signs
- Support healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and manage medical terminology efficiently
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a primarily outpatient clinic.
- Conduct X-ray procedures as needed while adhering to safety protocols
- Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care, fostering strong patient service relationships
Basic qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care
- Experience in medical settings, including outpatient specialty care
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred
- Exposure to medical-surgical environments is a plus

Base Pay: $22.95 - $26.84 per hour
