Responsibilities
- Respond swiftly and safely to emergency calls across city streets, ensuring timely arrival at the scene.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Provide essential emergency treatments such as airway management, injection administration, and trauma care.
- Operate emergency vehicles with precision, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Manage critical care procedures including cardiovascular emergency response and neonatal resuscitation when necessary.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment and medical terminology to deliver effective patient care in diverse settings.
- Maintain clear documentation of patient condition, treatments administered, and incident details for accurate reporting.
Experience
- Prior EMT experience with demonstrated proficiency in emergency medicine procedures.
- Critical care experience within hospital or trauma center environments, especially Level I or Level II trauma centers.
- Hands-on experience with patient transport, trauma medicine, and urgent care scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with pediatric emergency care, venipuncture, medication administration, and incident command systems.
- Familiarity with emergency vehicle operation and city street navigation under high-pressure conditions.
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while managing multiple urgent tasks simultaneously.
