The role of the Senior Medical Writer is to proactively execute medical communication and healthcare consultancy projects, ensuring alignment to client objectives and overall brand/medical strategy. The Senior Medical Writer serves as a key scientific contact for internal teams and clients. This role serves as a therapy area and capability expert with a primary focus on generating content. At the more experienced levels, the Senior Medical Writer can serve as a project-level mentor across a range of projects. The Senior Medical Writer also contributes to business development from both organic and new client perspectives with a focus on primary research supporting the broader team.
What You’ll Own:

Independently drive content development for dedicated accounts. Materials include:

Delivers well-written materials that are scientifically and technically accurate for review

Creates project content is of the highest quality, technically accurate, and aligned with the goals and objectives of the project brief

Has expert knowledge of client review and approval systems (eg, Veeva and DataVision)

Support execution of a wide range of projects across teams and therapeutic areas

Communicate regularly and clearly with internal cross-functional stakeholders
-
Provide project-level mentorship as appropriate to less experienced team members

Other tasks as assigned
Education/Qualifications:

Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) required

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the medical communications industry

Strong experience developing publications and congress-related materials for pharmaceutical or biotech clients

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
