Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist (Service Valet)
Independent Contractor | Part-Time Evenings | Flat Weekly Rate: $325-375/week
Part-time evening work close to home. Service one or more nearby apartment communities — no long-distance driving, no off-site dumping.
Important: This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. You must supply your own open-bed pickup truck (or vehicle with a trailer) to perform this work.
Green Doorstep is contracting valet trash collection specialists to keep apartment communities clean, safe, and comfortable for the people who live there.
This is a great fit if you’re looking for a second source of income, consistent evening routes, a great workout and steady work in your local area.
What the Route Involves
Each service night you keep one simple but important promise to residents: bagged trash and cardboard recycling are collected from their doorsteps so it’s gone by morning.
- Collect bagged trash and cardboard from apartment doorsteps and transport it to the on-site compactor using your own pickup truck
- Service one or more assigned communities in the same local area during your service window
- Walk the property, climb stairs, and work outdoors to complete the route
- Report any spills, overflow, or property issues so the community can address them
- No long-distance travel, no bulk items, and no off-site dumping
- Use our mobile app to check in, track completed buildings, and upload photos when needed
Schedule & Pay
- Flat Weekly Rate: $325-375 per week, paid as a flat rate per completed route — not hourly
- Service Window: Routes are typically serviced Sunday to Thursday night with collection beginning after 7PM and finishing within 1-3 hours.
- Time on Route: Most routes take approximately 1-2 hours per night to complete
- Payment: Paid via direct deposit on a weekly cycle
- Consistency: Same route, same communities, every service night

- Add Routes: Earn extra by servicing additional routes or covering open nights
What You’ll Need
- Your own open-bed pickup truck (or vehicle with a trailer) — required for this role
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
- At least 18 years old
- Smartphone with a data plan to use our route app
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Completed W-9 on file (you will receive a Form 1099-NEC)
- Ability to work independently and complete a consistent route without direct supervision
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs down stairs for long periods
- Walk long distances and climb multiple flights of stairs
- Work around bagged trash and waste
- Work outdoors in a range of weather conditions

This is an independent contractor engagement, not employment. Contractors are responsible for their own vehicle, fuel, taxes, and insurance, and control the manner and means of completing their assigned route.
