Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, where you will lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects from start to finish. You will coordinate all aspects of construction operations, manage teams on-site, and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will drive project success while fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety regulations.
- Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain high performance standards.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents to guide on-site work and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Conduct regular site inspections to enforce OSHA standards, federal construction safety regulations, and quality control measures.
- Lead project meetings to communicate progress, address issues, and align team efforts with project goals.
- Utilize tools like ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other construction management software for documentation, reporting, and collaboration purposes.
- Ensure proper supervision of crews by managing safety protocols, conducting toolbox talks, and maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- Review construction drawings thoroughly to identify potential issues early; oversee construction schedule coordination to meet deadlines efficiently.
Skills
- Extensive experience in commercial construction.
- Proven ability to direct teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep knowledge of construction regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety protocols.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints; adept at reviewing construction drawings for accuracy and clarity.
- Strong management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and vendors seamlessly.
- Excellent communication skills, client interactions, and team collaboration.
- Experience with construction safety management programs; capable of enforcing strict safety standards on site.
- Familiarity with construction site experience including blueprint reading, quality control procedures, and technical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when needed.
