We are seeking a dedicated and energetic After-School Nanny/Tutor to provide exceptional care and educational support for children in a private home setting. Responsibilities
- Supervise children after school, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with homework help and educational activities tailored to each child's age and learning needs
- Prepare healthy snacks and meals, incorporating meal planning and preparation skills
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, arts and crafts, reading, and developmental activities
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by implementing personalized caregiving strategies
- Maintain a clean and organized environment through residential housekeeping tasks such as cleaning up after activities and tidying play areas
- Provide personal transportation assistance for school pickups, extracurricular activities, or appointments when necessary
- Administer basic first aid and CPR if needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Support caregiving duties that include infant care or toddler care as required by the family
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, or concerns
Experience
- Prior nannying or babysitting experience working with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple children simultaneously while maintaining safety and attentiveness
- Knowledge of childcare best practices, including preschool activities, meal preparation, and residential housekeeping
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Proven track record of providing nurturing caregiving in private home settings or similar environments
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with children and parents alike
