Harbour Ridge Equine is a privately owned, forward-thinking, high-quality GP equine practice located on a stunning 15-acre property in Palm City, Florida— just minutes from the beautiful sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast and in the heart of SE Florida’s equestrian communities, we are a short drive to Wellington, Ocala, Orlando, and Miami, and not much further to the Florida Keys!
We provide ambulatory and haul-in care for a diverse clientele, ranging from high-performance sport horses to beloved backyard companions. Our team is known for practicing high-quality, compassionate medicine with a collaborative teamwork approach. We exist because we are all horse lovers, working together to solve problems that help our patients and owners when they need us most.
About the role/ key responsibilities:
- Support Clinic operations and assist veterinarians as needed.
- Ability to handle horses with confidence to assist veterinarians with evaluation and treatment of patients. This can include lunging or jogging a patient at the direction of an HRE veterinarian.
- Greet and host clients with professionalism, ensuring a welcoming and exceptional experience.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and appointment scheduling.
- Support accurate patient and client records in EzyVet, our medical record software.
- Support patient arrivals, discharges, and overall clinic flow.
- Dispense medications accurately under veterinary direction, communicate client requests to doctors and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and anticipating ordering needs
- Assist with Equipment set-up and handling.
- Stocking veterinarian truck for upcoming medical appointments and potential emergency cases.
- Transcribing medical records/histories or billing for an appointment.
- Driving veterinarian to and from appointments in a safe manner.
- Learning & development opportunities including; equipment handling, basic animal care & treatments, sterile processes, laboratory basics.
- 16 to 32 hours of work available per week,
