Position Summary
Vanta NDT is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Stationary Cleaning Machine Operator (Rattler) to operate, monitor, and maintain stationary industrial cleaning equipment. This position is responsible for setting up machinery, loading materials or products, adjusting operating controls, inspecting cleaned items, and keeping equipment and work areas clean and safe.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, attentive to detail, physically capable of performing repetitive work, and comfortable working independently or as part of a production team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate stationary cleaning machines according to operating procedures and production requirements.
- Load and unload parts, materials, containers, or products safely and efficiently.
- Select and adjust settings, including cleaning cycles, temperature, pressure, speed, and chemical concentration, as authorized.
- Monitor equipment throughout each cycle to identify leaks, jams, unusual noises, or other operating problems.
- Inspect cleaned items to confirm they meet Rattler's quality, sanitation, and production standards.
- Reprocess or report items that do not meet required specifications.
- Measure, handle, and replenish cleaning solutions in accordance with labels, Safety Data Sheets, and company procedures.
- Perform routine equipment care, including cleaning, lubrication, filter changes, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot minor issues and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Complete production records, inspection forms, cleaning logs, maintenance checklists, and chemical-use documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean work area and properly dispose of wastewater, residue, chemicals, and other materials.
- Follow all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Meet production goals while maintaining consistent quality and minimizing material waste.
- Assist other team members and perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience operating industrial, production, sanitation, or cleaning equipment preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to read operating instructions, safety labels, work orders, and equipment manuals.
- Ability to complete basic production and maintenance records.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and as part of a team.
Physical and Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to [insert weight] pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work near moving machinery, water, cleaning agents, noise, heat, humidity, and wet or slippery surfaces.

- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts when operationally necessary.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
