Duties
- Provide a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to each client’s needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate therapy plans and track progress over time
- Educate clients on self-care practices and pain management strategies to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed treatment records in compliance with licensing standards and clinic policies
- Ensure a safe, clean, and relaxing environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and safety guidelines such as CPR certification
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and foster a trusting relationship
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and patient care
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Massage Therapist in accordance with state or local regulations
- Proven experience in massage therapy with knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and pain management techniques
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from an accredited organization
- Proficiency in various massage modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical spa treatments
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to patient assessment and occupational health settings
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in medical spa or wellness center settings is preferred but not required
