About Us:
AMVT LLC, based in Katy, Texas, specializes in the sales, support, and service of AI and sensor-based sorting equipment for food manufacturing, seed and grain processing, and recycling applications. Our product line includes optical sorters, inspections systems, packaging machines, and more. We are currently seeking to add one more skilled Field Service Engineer to join our PNW Service team in Albany, Oregon.
Job Summary:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our optical sorting machines. Your key responsibilities will include conducting sample testing, performing machine installations and maintenance, and providing exceptional customer support. Our products include sorters featuring full color RGB cameras, Infra-red sensors, Deep AI Technology, and X-ray, along with metal detectors, checkweighers, and packaging machines. This position involves frequent travel for on-site demonstrations, installations, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed sort testing and evaluations with AMVT systems
- Complete sample test reports as required in support of sales objectives
- Perform machine demonstrations for customers at regional testing center
- Perform testing, calibration, and diagnostics for new and existing machines
- Visit customers in the field to perform service, new machine installations, onsite training, and maintenance of optical sorters and other machinery.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and remote technical support via message, phone, video call, and remote connection over the internet for AMVT systems
- Assist with building Deep Learning AI models for custom sorting applications
- Assist with shipping and receiving of samples, machine parts, and equipment
- Complete service reports for all field service calls and installations
- Complete weekly report of activities in the office and/or in the field as required by Senior Manager
- Help maintain an orderly, professional, and presentable workplace at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
- Previous experience with industrial machinery testing, installation, and service is preferred.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently for on-site assignments.
- Forklift experience desired
- Valid Driver’s license required
- Bilingual desired
