Law Clerk (Employment Litigation)

Young-Agriesti & Thomas, LLP is a well-established civil litigation firm dedicated to employment law, handling a wide range of labor and employment matters — from single-plaintiff employment litigation to wage & hour class action and PAGA litigation.
We're looking for a highly motivated law clerk to join our team. Employment law experience is a plus, but not required — what matters most is a sharp legal mind and a genuine desire to learn about employment law litigation.
This is a hybrid position with occasional in-person responsibilities, though it is primarily remote and best suited for someone who does their best work independently, but still values being part of a close-knit, collaborative team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a college or law student who is eager to gain hands-on litigation experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Organize and analyze case materials and evidence
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda
- Assist senior attorneys and partners with written discovery (propounding and responding)
- Draft motions and other legal pleadings
- Communicate directly with clients
- Manage case files and track deadlines
- Support all phases of litigation, including trial and arbitration preparation
Qualifications
- Current law student (or college student) based in Southern California
- Strong problem-solving skills with a resourceful, proactive approach to assignments
- Able to independently research issues and develop well-reasoned solutions
- Comfortable working independently for extended periods
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
- Collaborative mindset with effective communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
