JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a General Construction Laborer to join our team. This position is an essential part of our crew, performing a variety of manual tasks to support various construction activities. This is a physically demanding job that requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work as part of a team. This job offers competitive wages and benefits.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform physical labor activities which includes, but is not limited to, lifting, pulling, pushing, and/or carrying different types of objects/materials.
- Prepare worksite zones, installing traffic barricades, cones, markers, and controlling traffic passing near, in, and around work zones.
- Assist with setting up and dismantling scaffolding, barricades, and other temporary structures.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment using hand tools and machinery.
- Care for company tools/equipment/machines.
- Keep job site clean of all unused/waste materials and ensures all equipment is stored in a safe and secure manner.
- Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.
- Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed by supervisors.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience working as a laborer or equivalent experience - Preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude - Preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and MVR
