American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with a CA license and at least 1 year of home health experience for a 13-week home health assignment in the San Jose/Salinas/Santa Cruz, CA area.

Home health setting, beginning primarily in the Salinas area with potential coverage in the Santa Cruz area based on patient census
-
Patient caseload is 1:1, with up to 6 patient visits per day and a standard of 30 productivity points

Uses Home Health MD for documentation and charting

Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday with weekend coverage as needed
-
No on-call requirement

Occasional travel up to 50+ miles may be required; personal transportation is required

Current active CA PTA license required (license required if applicable)

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent home health experience required

Reliable personal vehicle required for patient visits

Patient scheduling is optimized to minimize drive and windshield time between visits

Timely communication and documentation are expected

Documentation tools will be provided by the facility and must be returned at the end of the assignment

Business casual attire or scrubs are acceptable

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration

A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
