**Position Available: Veterinary Technician
** You need to be proficient in dental radiography and interpretations, Intubation, surgery, calculating drugs, reading cytologies, and the duties below.

We are looking for highly skilled technicians to join our privately owned small-animal clinics. Our clinic location is staffed by a team of 20 full-time employees, with an average tenure of nearly 5 years. Many of our team members have been with us for over a decade. Our technical staff, receptionists, and veterinarians work closely together in a fun and respectful environment that values every voice. **Job Description:****General Skills:**- Blood draws- Catheter placement- Intubation- Cystocentesis - Anesthesia monitoring - Taking and developing x-rays - Administering medications (PO, IM, Sub-Q, IV) - Converting injectable medications from milligrams to milliliters - Knowledge of medication classifications - Performing blood glucose tests, blood pressure checks, and TPR assessments - Knowledge of prescription diets and heartworm and flea/tick prevention
**Dental Skills:**- Set up dental x-ray software, dental drill, and anesthesia machine - Capture dental x-rays and inject nerve blocks - Perform dental cleanings (scaling and polishing) - Suture surgical extraction sites (required)
**Surgical Skills:**- Set up the surgical suite for various procedures - Prepare patients for surgical procedures - Monitor anesthesia**Lab Work:**- Perform CBC/Chemistry, differentials, urinalysis, fecal flotation, ear cytology, skin scrapes, and PCV/total solids- Knowledge of normal ranges - Fill out outside lab forms and send samples as needed
**Non-Medical Skills:**- Communicate with clients (both on the phone and in-person) - Basic computer knowledge
**Work Hours:**This position may include morning and evening shifts.

Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
