Job Summary:
The HSMC clinic manager is both clinical & administrative leader, ensuring the clinic runs efficiently, staff are well-supported, and animals receive compassionate, high-quality care while meeting organizational and regulatory standards.
Position: Animal Clinic Manager
- Full-time salaried, may require weekends, evening, or on-call work
- Pay rate based on experience
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Management
- Supervise clinic staff, including vet techs, vet tech assistants, kennel staff and administrative personnel
- Hire, train, evaluate, and mentor staff providing performance feedback and conduct evaluations
- Promote a collaborative, compassionate, & professional team culture
Clinical & Operational Oversight
- Manage clinic workflow, including surgeries, wellness, spay & neuter and treatment for shelter and public animals
- Ensure compliance with animal handling, sanitation, safety (OSHA), and veterinary protocols
- Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies
- Provide medical counseling to clients and address complaints professionally
- Represent the clinic in professional and community settings
Required Certifications and Qualifications
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem -solving and communication abilities
- Valid driver's license
- CVT (preferred) or equivalent clinic management experience
Work Environment
- Work in both an office and clinical settings, often in high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Location: In person

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
