About the Role: Part-Time Host at Larks' Restaurant
As a Part-Time Host at Lark's Restaurant at Ashland Springs Hotel located in the downtown area of Ashland, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring that their experience is both enjoyable and memorable. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and seat guests promptly, managing the flow of the dining area to optimize service efficiency. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house environment, which is essential for both guest satisfaction and operational success. Additionally, you will communicate effectively with the kitchen and service staff to ensure that all guest needs are met in a timely manner. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall success of our establishment, enhancing our reputation in the real estate development and management industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a restaurant or food and beverage environment.
- Familiarity with reservation management systems.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to minimize guest wait times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Communicate guest needs and special requests to the service team.
- Assist in coordinating special events and private dining experiences.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for interacting with guests and team members effectively. Organizational skills will be utilized daily to manage reservations and ensure a smooth flow of guests in the dining area. Customer service skills are paramount, as you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their experience.
