An opportunity to be part of a uniquely Eugene institution. Surata Soyfoods has been manufacturing certified organic, sustainable food products for over 44 years. We now have opening for a worker to participate in the creation of the nations best Tofu and Tempeh.
Position Starts at $16.50. Then Raises are automatically given based on hours worked, with merit raises when applicable. 5 days paid vacation per year,, medical and dental offered if position becomes full time.
About 30-35 available hours per week. Shifts are throughout the week. Schedule is as follows:
Monday- start time 8:45 pm until done. Around 7 hours
Wednesday- Start time 8:45 until done . Around 7 hours
Thursday-10:00 AM until done (about 7 hours)
Friday- start time 8:45 until around 4:30/5:00
Sunday- Start time 10:30 until around 5:00
Hours can definitely increase as opportunities open.
Position is basic food manufacturing. This entails some lifting bending, putting together machinery, some scrubbing/cleaning and general creation of the product on the production floor.
Must be able to lift about 30 pounds. Must be able to work independently and have an ability to pay attention to detail. Some repetitive work involved. Basic understanding of food safety is helpful but not necessary.
