We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mover/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while safely transporting goods and assisting with moving tasks. This role requires a strong commitment to teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate box trucks or vans to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items efficiently using manual handling techniques and equipment such as hand trucks.
- Assist customers with packing, loading, and unloading their belongings during moves.
- Ensure all items are secured properly during transit to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the road and at job sites.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns from clients during the moving process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of moving tasks.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in moving or logistics preferred but not required, with knowledge of best practices in handling various types of items.
- Valid driver's license with experience driving commercial vehicles, including box trucks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and perform manual labor throughout the day.
