Independent Field Property Adjuster (1099) - Central Pennsylvania
D.L. Dravis & Associates, Inc. is looking to expand our roster of Independent Field Property Adjusters throughout Central Pennsylvania.
We are seeking experienced adjusters for both full-assignment property claim handling and task-based field assignments, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and availability.
Our assignments include a variety of property losses, including residential, agricultural, and small and large commercial claims.
Assignment Opportunities
Full-Assignment Property Claims
Full-Assignments may include:
- Field inspection and investigation
- Detailed photographs and documentation
- Measurements, diagrams, and scope documentation
- Damage assessment
- Xactimate estimating
- Policy review and interpretation
- Written reports and supporting documentation
- Communication with insureds, carriers, contractors, and other involved parties
- Ongoing file management through completion of assignment
Field Inspections and Task Assignments
Task-based assignments may include:
- Field inspections
- Detailed photographs and documentation
- Measurements, diagrams, and scope documentation
- Damage assessment
- Xactimate estimates, when requested
- Short-form reports and supporting documentation
- Re-inspections or supplemental inspections
- Other defined field investigation or claim-related tasks
Qualifications
For Full-Assignments
- Minimum of 5 years of property claims adjusting experience
- Proficiency in Xactimate
- Experience in policy interpretation and coverage-related investigations
- Strong written reporting and documentation skills
- Ability to independently manage assignments and meet established timelines
- Professional communication with insured, carriers, contractors, and other involved parties
For Task-based Assignments
- Prior property adjusting or field inspection experience
- Strong property inspection and documentation skills
- Ability to accurately identify and document visible damage
- Clear and organized photographs, measurements, and field documentation
- Xactimate proficiency for assignments requiring estimating
- Ability to meet assignment-specific turnaround expectations
All candidates must have reliable transportation and ability to travel within their service territory.
Experience with agricultural and commercial property losses is a plus.
Independent Contractor Opportunity
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not a salaried employee position. Independent adjusters may accept assignments based on their availability, service territory, experience, and the requirements of each assignment.
Assignment volume is not guaranteed and may vary based on client needs, geography, claim activity, qualifications, and experience.
We are particularly interested in connecting with adjusters who are located in or regularly service Central Pennsylvania.
