What you'll do
As our Fleet & Shop Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining the equipment that keeps our company running.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform preventative maintenance on company trucks, trailers, and commercial pressure washing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair pressure washers, pumps, hoses, reels, burners, plumbing systems, unloaders, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair small gasoline engines, including Honda GX engines and similar commercial equipment.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, filters, batteries, brakes, lighting repairs, and other minor mechanical work.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, chemicals, and shop supplies.
- Receive shipments and organize inventory.
- Assemble and install new equipment.
- Coordinate outside repairs when necessary.
- Identify maintenance issues before they become costly breakdowns.
- Assist with fabrication, welding, or shop improvement projects when needed.
What we're looking for
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience working on small engines, pumps, pressure washers, generators, landscaping equipment, or similar machinery.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems independently.
- Experience performing routine maintenance on vehicles and trailers.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Preferred but not required
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Hydraulic system experience.
- Basic plumbing or electrical troubleshooting.
- Forklift experience.
- Experience working in a commercial fleet or equipment shop.
