Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one and small-group support to adults with developmental disabilities in community settings. DSPs assist participants in achieving their individual goals while promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion. Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, and hygiene
- Support medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Provide patient observation to ensure safety and well-being, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking, ensuring dietary needs are met
- Facilitate resident engagement through recreational activities and social interactions to promote mental health
- Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including progress notes and incident reports
Requirements
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist participants with community outings and recreational activities.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a strong plus
- Provide behavioral support using positive intervention techniques.
- Support participants in achieving IPP goals.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and regional center staff.
- Encourage social interaction and community engagement.
- Ensure participant health and safety at all times.
- Document daily progress notes accurately and on time.
- Assist with transportation to and from community activities as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all agency policies.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
