Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EEC Certified Toddler Teacher( young toddlers)to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children, focusing on their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Your expertise in toddler care and early childhood education will inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning in every child. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall child development aligned with early childhood standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social interaction among toddlers.
- Manage daily classroom activities including lesson planning, circle time, play-based learning, and structured routines to support developmental milestones.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, behavior, and developmental needs through updates and conferences.
- Apply behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions and address individual behavioral challenges effectively.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of children’s development and incidents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan special activities, assessments, and interventions such as early intervention or special education support when needed.
Qualifications
- Valid EEC (Early Education and Care) certification specific to toddler or preschool age groups.
- Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods.
- Experience implementing behavior management plans and fostering positive behavior in toddlers.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to follow health & safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification
